【摘要】:1.1Thisspecificationcoversflexiblecellularrubberproductsknownasspongerubberandexpandedrubber,butdoesnotapplytolatexfoamrubberorebonitecellularrubber.Thebasematerialforanopen/closedcellularproductmaybemadeofsynthetic,natural,orreclaimedrubber,oramixture,andmaycontainotherpolymersorchemicals,orboth,whichmaybemodifiedbyorganicorinorganicadditives.Theseelastomericmaterialshavepropertiessimilartothoseofvulcanizedrubber,namely(1)theabilitytobeconvertedfromathermoplastictoathermosettingstatebycrosslinking(vulcanization)or(2)thesubstantialrecoveryoftheiroriginalshapeswhenstrainedorelongated,orboth.1.2Extrudedormoldedshapesofsizestoosmallforcuttingstandardtestspecimensaredifficulttoclassifyortestbythesemethodsandwillusuallyrequirespecialtestingprocedures.1.3Incaseofconflictbetweentheprovisionsofthisgeneralspecificationandthoseofdetailedspecificationsortestmethodsforaparticularproduct,thelattershalltakeprecedence.Referencetothetestmethodsinthisspecificationshouldspecificallystatetheparticulartestortestsdesired.1.4ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.1.5Thefollowingsafetyhazardscaveatpertainsonlytothetestmethodsportionsofthisspecification:Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.Note18212;ISO6916-1issimilartothisspecification.
