【摘要】:ThisInternationalStandardisapplicabletoallassembliesdesignedtomeasuretheambientdoseequivalent(rate)duetoneutronradiationofenergyupto16MeV,andwhichcompriseatleast:a)adetectionassembly,whichmay,forexample,consistofadetectorprobeforthermalisedneutronsandanarrangementofmoderatingandabsorbingmediasurroundingthedetector;b)ameasuringassemblywithadisplayforthemeasuringresult,whichmaybeincorporatedintoasingleassemblyorconnectedbymeansofaflexiblecable.NOTEZIftheEquipmentconsistsofseparatedetectorandmeasurementassembliesthecablebetweenthetwoshallbethatspecifiedbythemanufacturer.Iftheconnectionisbyothermeans(e.g.radiowaves,infrared)orothercables,itisnecessarytoapplyadditionalrequirementswithrespecttothespecificmedia.Therequirementsgivenbelowpertaintoassembliesasdefinedinthefirstparagraph.Itisacceptable,however,touseassemblies,whichdonotmeettherequirementsbelowwhensuchrequirementsarenotdeemedessentialforagivenpurpose.Insuchcases,therequirementstobeappliedtotheassembliesshouldbespecifiedbyagreementbetweenthemanufacturerandthepurchaser,butthemethodsofdeterminationofthecharacteristicsoftheassembliesshouldconformtothisstandard.Notestsarespecifiedinthisstandardfortheperformancerequirementsoftheassembliesinpulsedradiationfields,anditistobeconsideredthatanassemblydesignedtomeetthisstandardmaynotbesuitableforuseinsuchfields.Theobjectofthisstandardistospecifyrequirementsfortheperformancecharacteristicsofneutronambientdoseequivalent(rate)meters,andtoprescribethemethodsoftestinginordertodeterminecompliancewiththisstandard.Thisstandardspecifies,fortheassembliesdescribedinthefirstparagraph,generalcharacteristics,generaltestprocedures,radiationcharacteristics,electrical,mechanical,safetyandenvironmentalcharacteristics,andalsotheidentificationcertificate.Requirementsandtestproceduresarealsospecifiedforthealarmperformanceofthedoseequivalent(rate)meters,whichareequippedwithalarmprovisions.NOTEDoseequivalent(rate)metersforneutronshaveanenergydependenceofambientdoseequivalentresponse,whichmaydeviateconsiderablyfromunity.Theresponseinrealisticspectraencounteredinworkplacefieldsissuchthatthedeviationsindifferentenergyrangestendtoneutraliseeachother.Consequently,theresponseinrealisticfieldsisgenerallymuchclosertounity.ISO12789specifiesalistofappropriateneutronsourceshavingbroadspectrasuitableforthetestingofsuch(rate)meters.Alsoworkplacesmaybespecifiedbyagreementbetweenmanufacturerandpurchasertobeappropriatefortestingwhenthespectralenvironmentiswelldefined.Unconventionaldoseequivalentratemeters,forexampleconsistingofmorethanonedetectorprobe,haverecentlybecomeavailable.Forsuchinstruments,evaluationbasedonmono-energeticneutronsisnotrelevant.Alsoforthoseratemeters,theaboveconsiderationsmayapply.
