【摘要】:Thistestmethodisusedbyathleticfootwearmanufacturersbothasatoolfordevelopmentofmidsolematerialsystemsandasatestofthegeneralcharacteristicsoftheathleticfootwearproduct(see1.4-1.6.2andNotes1-6).Carefuladherencetotherequirementsandrecommendationsofthistestmethodshallprovideresultswhichcanbecomparedbetweendifferentlaboratorysources.Dynamicdataobtainedbytheseproceduresareindicativeoftheshockattenuatingproperties(see1.5)ofthematerialsystemsunderthespecificconditionsselected.Thistestmethodisdesignedtoprovideforceversusdisplacementresponseofmaterialssystemsforathleticfootwearunderessentiallyuniaxialcompressionconditionsatimpactrates,whicharesimilartothatforheelstrikeinnormalrunningmovements.2,3Thatis,peakforcesofupto2kN(450lb)intimesof10to20ms.Thepeakormaximumvaluesofforce,pressure,displacement,andstrainaredependentonthemaximumenergyappliedtothespecimen.Thesevaluesarenormalizedtoprovidecomparativeresultsforareferencemaximumenergyappliedtothespecimenof5J.Shockattenuatingcharacteristicsarestronglydependentonspecimenthicknessandpriorhistoryofforceapplication.Therefore,resultsshouldbecomparedonlyforspecimensofessentiallythesamethicknessandpriorimpactconditioning(seeNotes3-6).Therearenocurrentlyacceptabletechniquesfornormalizingresultsforspecimenthicknessvariations.Shockattenuatingvalues(see1.5)determinedbythistestmethod,formaterialssystemsofathleticfootwear,maynotcorrelatewiththesimilarvaluesexperiencedbyarunnersheelorfoot.1.1Thistestmethodcoversthemeasurementofcertainshockattenuatingcharacteristics,rapidrateforce-displacementrelationships,ofmaterialssystemsemployedinthemidsoleofathleticfootwearintendedforuseinnormalrunningmovements.Thistestmethodcoversthreedifferentproceduresforperformanceoftherapidrateforceapplication:ProcedureAforfallingweightimpactmachines,ProcedureBforcompressionforcecontrolledmachines,andProcedureCforcompressiondisplacementcontrolledmachines.1.2Thematerialsystemresponseforrapidrateforceapplicationmaybedifferentforeachofthethreeproceduresofthistestmethod.1.3Thistestmethodisempiricallybasedontheuseofan8.5-kgmassdroppedfrom50mm(1.97in.)togeneratepeakcompressiveforceswhicharecomparabletothatexperiencedbyamidsoleinheelstriketestsfornormalrunningmovement.,Thisrequiresthespecimentoberigidlysupportedandtheenergytobedeliveredthrougha45-mm(1.8-in.)diameterflattup.1.4Thistestmethodimposesanimpulsetogeneratearapidratecompressiveforce-displacementhysteresiscycleandevaluatesshockattenuatingcharacteristicsofthespecimen.Themaximumenergyappliedtothespecimenoccursatpeakdisplacementandmustbewithin10%ofareferencevaluethatisusedtonormalizethedataforcomparativepurposes.
